Konstantin Lazarov and Mislav Hizak captured Embry-Riddle's first ITA/NAIA National Doubles Championship in the fall of 2006. Hizak, and Lazarov were 23-3 in the 2006-07 season, including a 7-2 mark during the fall. The duo went on to win the ITA Small College National title in 2006, earning a spot in the ITA "Super Bowl" where their only loss was to Rollins' Riegraf and Carszuaa. The tandem ended the season as the top-ranked duo in the country in the ITA/NAIA poll.
Hizak and Lazarov finished their Embry-Riddle careers with 63 and 61 doubles wins respectively, placing them both in the top 10 all-time.
Road to the title
- Quarterfinals: Defeated Oklahoma Christian's Vijoen and Truax (6-4, 6-4)
- Semifinals: Defeated Point Loma Nazarene's Gerloff and Bowman (6-4, 6-2)
- Championship Match: Defeated Benedictine's Arabyan and Plotnikov
